How to Use Your Allianz Benefits

  1. Enrollment:

    • Log into your ThanksBen account
    • Go to the Allianz benefit tile in the "Benefits" tab
    • Scroll to "Cover Your Family" section
    • Add partner and/or children's information
    • Select number of family members to include
    • Review additional cost and click "Save & Exit"
    • You have 30 days from your start date to add dependents
  3. Opting Out:
    • You can opt out through the ThanksBen platform
    • Click the "Opt Out" button on the Allianz benefit tile
    • Note: If you opt out, you can only opt back in at the next renewal in May
  4. Viewing Your Coverage:
    • Log into your ThanksBen account
    • Go to the "Benefits" tab for policy documentation and information
  5. Using Your Insurance:
    • After enrollment, you'll receive a welcome email from Allianz with your policy number
    • Use this number to log into the Allianz platform or MyHealth app
    • You can claim treatments retroactively to your start date

Note: While Allianz enrollment confirmation may take 4-8 weeks, your coverage is effective from your start date.

  • What: Our cornerstone global health plan, designed to provide comprehensive support for a wide range of medical needs, giving you peace of mind. It aims to ensure you can access quality care when and where you need it.

    • In-patient and day-care treatment (hospital stays, surgeries).

  • What: A significant enhancement to our benefits, designed to provide a strong layer of financial security for you and your designated beneficiaries in the event of unforeseen circumstances. This benefit is fully company-paid.
  • Coverage Amount: Provides $100,000 USD in coverage.
  • Protection Includes: This is a multi-faceted plan covering:
    • Life Insurance: Provides a lump sum payment to your beneficiaries upon death.
    • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D): Offers additional financial protection in case of death or serious injury resulting from an accident.

A. Accessing Global Standards (Allianz Plans):

Enrollment and management for Allianz Health typically happen via:

  • ThanksBen (https://www.google.com/search?q=remote-global.thanksben.com): You'll receive an invitation email from hello@thanksben.com. Use this platform to enroll, select benefits, and add dependents (within 30 days). (Life insurance enrollment processes will be confirmed closer to the Jan 1, 2025, effective date).
  • Allianz MyHealth App / Portal: Once enrolled, use their app/portal for Health claims, finding providers, and managing your plan. You can submit claims for reimbursement or contact Allianz for pre-approval on high-cost treatments.

  • All employees will auto opt into a DC pension scheme managed by Irish Life, the scheme operates at a 5% employee / 5% employer match.
    • In addition to this employees will receive a cash allowance of 5% to supplement the legacy contribution of 10%. This means that the total cost of the employer contribution is 10%.
    • If you would like to opt out of the scheme or increase your contributions through an AVC (additional voluntary contribution):

      • Kindly note that opting out of the pension scheme will also remove the 5% cash allowance offered by Camunda.

Netherlands (NL)

  • Statutory Snapshot:
    • Health Insurance: 6.57% Employer.
    • Holiday Bonus: 8% annual salary on top of base pay (paid monthly).
      • In the Netherlands, holiday pay ("vakantiegeld") is a statutory benefit, meaning employers are legally required to provide it. This typically amounts to 8% of an employee's gross annual salary and is paid in addition to their regular base pay. For Camunda employees managed through Remote.com, this holiday pay is incorporated directly into their monthly paychecks, rather than being paid as a single annual lump sum which is also a common practice in the Netherlands.
    • Disability Insurance: 7.54% Employer.
    • Long Term Sickness: €29/month Employer.
    • Work Resumption/Childcare/Unemployment: 0.75%, 0.50%, 2.64% Employer.
